Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Print Connect is a Shopify app run by Print Connect LLC ("we", "us"). It lets you design T-shirts and add them to your Shopify store, set up your store's basics and brand, and design its pages. This policy explains what data Print Connect handles, why, who else handles it, how long it's kept, and your choices. Questions or requests: help@printconnect.store.
Your Print Connect account
- Your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash), to sign you in. You create your login when you sign up, or we create it for you.
- While you're signed in, a session record with your IP address and browser type, to keep you signed in and protect your account. It ends when you sign out, or after a week without use.
- Images you upload, stored exactly as uploaded, to make your previews and product photos and for you to download again. This includes any of Print Connect's sample images you choose.
- Your brand settings: four colors, a logo and a favicon.
- The pages you design for your store, with the versions you published and the photos you add. Photos are turned upright and stripped of camera and location details as they arrive, since they become public on your store. Where Print Connect writes your pages into your theme, it also keeps a copy of each theme template it replaces, so it can put it back.
- The products you create: title, price, colors, and the IDs Shopify gives them.
- A log of account events (your login created, password changes, a store connected), with your email address, kept for security and accountability.
Your Shopify store
When you install Print Connect, Shopify gives it an access token for your store, which we keep encrypted. With it, Print Connect:
- Creates and updates the products you send, with their photos, prices and costs, and publishes them to your Online Store.
- Creates a T-Shirts collection, About and Contact pages, and links to them in your menus, never removing or overwriting anything you've changed.
- Creates the pages you add in the Page builder, and uses your page designs for the products, collections and pages you choose.
- Uploads your logo, favicon and page photos to your store's Files, and saves your brand colors where Print Connect's theme extension can read them.
- Reads your theme to check that Print Connect's embed and blocks are in place, and to show your pages in its editor.
- When you publish a page, writes it into your live theme: its template, plus Print Connect's own sections, styles and script, each named print-connect.
Before replacing one of your theme's templates, Print Connect keeps an exact copy. “Remove from my theme” in the Page builder puts them all back, and this help page explains how to remove them after uninstalling. Print Connect doesn't change your theme's settings. A page preview works the same way: your customers don't see it (it opens only through its own preview link), and it's removed within a day.
Print Connect doesn't access your store's orders or customers, and doesn't ask for them.
Your customers
Print Connect never reads or stores your customers' names, addresses, emails, phone numbers or orders. Newsletter and contact forms on your pages are Shopify's own: what customers type in them goes to your store, never to Print Connect. A video section uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced player or Vimeo's, asked not to track.
Shopify forwards your customers' privacy requests to Print Connect. It holds no data about them, so each request is answered automatically.
Who else handles data
- Our hosting provider runs Print Connect's servers, database and file storage, in the United States.
- Shopify receives what Print Connect puts in your store, as described above.
- Printful: Print Connect doesn't connect to your Printful account or send Printful anything about you or your store. Orders are printed and shipped through Printful's own Shopify app, under Printful's privacy policy.
We don't sell data or share it for advertising, and Print Connect has no analytics or advertising cookies. Its cookies only keep you signed in, remember where you were, and complete connecting your store.
How long data is kept
- Records of Shopify's notifications to Print Connect: 30 days. Their contents aren't stored.
- Photos you added for your pages that no page uses: 30 days. Copies already in your store's Files stay there.
- After you uninstall Print Connect, Shopify asks us to erase your store's data 48 hours later, and we do: its access token, product records, brand, store and page settings, and its files we held.
- Your account and uploads: until your login is deleted. The account-event log is kept for security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, at help@printconnect.store. We answer within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also object to how we use your data, and complain to your data protection authority. We use your data only to provide Print Connect to you and to keep it secure.
Security
Access tokens are encrypted with dedicated keys, every request from Shopify is signature-checked, and administrators' changes to logins are logged.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date above.
